Homemade Hibachi Ginger Dressing Recipe

Hibachi ginger dressing is a tangy, flavorful condiment that adds a delicious kick to salads and grilled dishes. Here’s a simple recipe to make your own at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup vegetable oil (or a mix of vegetable and sesame oil)

  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, grated

  • 2 tablespoons onion, finely chopped

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Grate the fresh ginger and finely chop the onion and garlic.

  2. Blend the Dressing:

    • In a blender or food processor, combine the vegetable oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, grated ginger, chopped onion, sugar, and minced garlic.

    • Blend until smooth and well combined.

  3. Season:

    • Taste the dressing and add salt and pepper as needed. Adjust the sweetness or acidity to your preference by adding more sugar or vinegar.

  4. Store:

    • Transfer the dressing to a jar or airtight container. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week. Shake well before each use, as ingredients may separate.

Serving Suggestions

Use this ginger dressing on salads, as a marinade for grilled vegetables or meats, or as a dipping sauce for appetizers. Enjoy the vibrant flavors of hibachi right at home!
